Keyword Discovery changes on the horizon
Just recently, Keyword Discovery notified NicheBOT of changes just around the corner with their various keyword databases.
These changes will not impact the Keyword Discovery 9-in-1 tool for NicheBOT 2 users, just the actual references to actual database names.
Keyword Discovery will be placing their Premium Database as their default database for their users. The Premium Database will be designated as their new Global database.
As was mentioned in the post that introduced the Keyword Discovery 9-in-1 tool, the Premium Database is comprised of 4 million+ web surfers that are being tracked in their surfing activity. Keyword Discovery’s CEO, David Warmuz, mentioned to me that the number of active users that are tracked for the Premium Database (soon to be classified as the new Global Database) will reach an estimated 12 million users by the end of the year.
The advantage of this new Premium Database is that the web surfing activity is tracked directly at the individual’s computer. This data collected is not harvested from Search Engine logs which can produce a lot of weird searches that seem like anomolies and oddities due to what is called “search engine noise.”
Keyword searces that are executed by automated robotic agents or scripts that query search engines (like Google) can inflate the count and make keywords appear more popular than they really are.
The old Global Database shall remain and will be renamed “Global – Historical.” I was assured by David at Keyword Discovery the they will continue to collect data for this database as it can be crucial for the “tail end” of search. Others may refer to this as the “long tail” of search, or keyword phrases that contain 3, 4, 5 and 6 words within them.
So what’s the impact of this?
The Premium Database (soon to be the new Global Database) will have keyword counts dramatically lower than the current Global Database soon to be replaced.
How will the changes affect NicheBOT 2 users?
The order of selection for the databases in the Keyword Discovery 9-in-1 tool will remain the same. However, the names of the databases will be changed to coincide with Keyword Discovery’s own changes.
Once the change takes affect sometime this week, the changes on NicheBOT will appear as follows:
1. Global Database — this database will be renamed to “Global – Historical” and all references in the Keyword Basket will reflect this with each entry.
2. Premium Database — this database will be renamed to “Global – Premium” so that the old reference to Premium will remain for those familiar with it.
Again — the order of the tools in the dropdown menu of the Keyword Discovery 9-in-1 tool will remain the same. Just the reference to both the databases above will be altered.
I am also told by Keyword Discovery’s CEO that there will be more geographically specific databases on the way, one of which will be a United States specific database.
This now brings you up to speed on new changes that will be up and coming soon, so now you are apprised and well aware of why things may seem a little different.
Best wishes,
Jim Morris, President/CEO
