Are you double checking your keyword research with Google?

Welcome to another white hot version of The Keyword Informer.

The title of this article begs the reader to ask whether they are double checking to see if there are any missing keyword phrases that may be heavily searched on Google against other keyword sources (databases) currently available.

This is one of the major reasons that NicheBOT provides multiple keyword databases so that our members are making sure not to miss any obvious wholes in their keyword research with keyword phrases that can bring in extra traffic.

My motto is… “Grab all the website traffic that you can!” So…

Farewell to Yahoo!’s Overture keyword suggestion tool (the burial and a rant)

Welcome to another late-breaking edition of The Keyword Informer.

I’m glad you could attend this long awaited funeral of sorts (it’s been long overdue).

What’s going on?

It was just over a year ago that the Overture keyword suggestion tool was showing signs of trouble when it disappeared for approximately four days. Just when everyone thought it was gone, Yahoo! representatives suddenly appeared in the forums and announced that the tool would remain available, but no longer maintained.

5 Free Powerful Ways to Conduct Online Consumer Market Research to Find a Profitable Niche that has nothing to do with Keyword Research

Hey there,

Yahoo Overture keyword bid tool is no more (Breaking News)

It’s one thing when you visit a free public tool and the page doesn’t load with your hour glass stuck on your screen.

But it’s quite another thing when the web page loads in your browser with a glaring message that depicts a story that this tool is no more.

One of my business partners was going about his business and going to use to the Overture bid tool today at http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/USm/search/tools/bidtool/ and noticed the tool was taken down. (The link above goes to a Google search so as to not create an active hyperlink and point to at a page that is now gone.)

I went there myself and noticed this message…

“Gone

The requested resource
/d/USm/search/tools/bidtool/
is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address. Please remove all references to this resource. ”

I think that’s pretty clear, isn’t it?

Either way — NicheBOT is just in the middle of preparing to release its Pay-Per-Click Data including Yahoo (Overture) bids when I conducted a pay-per-click search and noticed Yahoo (Overture) it tonight earlier. Thought it was a glitch when it was pointed out by one of our strategic business partners. That’s okay, we’ll just keep that column as a placeholder for when Yahoo launches their paid API results. ;)

Yahoo Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool is going and going and…

What an incredibly busy week it was last week as emails went flying about the apparent death — and then sudden un-death — of the Yahoo/Overture Keyword Suggestion tool. And all the keyword tool developers went scrambling to find an alternative Overture resource because everyone’s desktop keyword tools were lacking the most important thing — keywords and keyword count results.

If you want the entire skinned truth and get to the nitty gritty of the entire story, I’ve fully investigated it and I’ve had a few things clarified.

In fact, it’s all clear now.
