Yesterday, I shared with you a valuable story about picking the right types of keywords to concentrate on in your business.
Do you remember what that was?
That’s right!
It was “buying keywords”
And why did we say this?
Because “buying keywords” are those that people are using in the search engines when they are in the buying cycle and ready to make a purchase.
We don’t want tire kickers wasting our money when they are just conducting research and clicking on our paid advertisements, especially if you’re using Adwords to pay for traffic.

As I discussed with you in the previous email, “buying keywords” do not get a LOT of traffic — so you need to focus on plenty of those types of keywords to get a big result (lots of sales, leads or optins).
In my interview, Jay shared how important it is to follow his chain of relevancy in the anatomy of the Perfect Adwords (PPC) Campaign.
1. Research – research your niche market to locate the brands and items that visitors are buying.
2. Keyword – pick “buying keywords” such as makes, models and brand names that have your visitors in a buying frame of mind — not a research or information gathering state of mind.
3. Text Ad – use the “buying keywords” in your text ad and use other elements to get the click from the web surfer.
4. Landing Page – create custom landing pages for each and every keyword that you are bidding on to get traffic to your site. The more you mimic your visitors keyword search and deliver a great experience, the more visitors you’ll convert into buyers or opt-ins.
5. Post Click Activities – test, measure and find which keywords are performing by using Google Analytics and suspend those ad campaigns that are losers. Spend more on the winning keywords that show profitability.
Jay discussed the importance of having a really tight relevant keyword that is matched in a Google Adwords text ad that
then flows right into the landing/bridge page where the paid visitor lands.
It only makes sense to match and mirror the web surfer’s keyword search exactly from the moment they see the ad
through the time they click the ad and then land on your web page (landing page).
Not only does this help make the visitor’s experience more valuable, but it also helps improve your quality score for getting lower cost of clicks and improve profits from higher conversions. Quality score is Google’s internal ranking system for Adwords that measures the relevance of your landing page to the text ad you are running for a given keyword (as well as other factors).
THE PROBLEM –
Now — the problem occurs when trying to set up individual matching ads and matching landing pages that have the
keywords sprinkled throughout the web page. This could mean setting up hundreds (if not thousands) of separate and customized landing pages which can take weeks for one person to set up.
Let’s just say there’s a lot of manual work involved.
In fact, Jay shared in the webinar how one man had a staff of employees setting up these kinds of customized text ads and matching landing pages discussed above.
