Total Niche Market Domination Update…
Here’s the latest of what’s going on.
Â
Reciprocal Manager is no longer at: http://www.reciprocalmanager.com
Â
Apparently, the developer had enough and packed up camp.
Â
The Link Machine is the current replacement until we personally develop one up to our own specs.
Â
And yes — there is SOME overlap with Reciprocal Manager and what Link Capture does.
Â
Link Capture will build your link directory, but all of the email handling functions are manual and de-activating link partners that no longer link to you will also be manual. Not to mention, you also have to manually SEND a link partner status email with all the different fields and URLs all stuck in there. I do not believe Link Capture automates all these tedious tasks. In fact — I would NOT allow a Desktop Device to handle such a task. Which is why it is best to have the link software ON your domain for the easiest administration.
Â
See — my reciprocal linking system is effective because of two things:
Â
1. Reciprocal link management done with a software installed ON the domain to handle menials tasks such as contacting link partners when link isn’t found, a URL that allows the link partner to EDIT their own URL and their text (so you don’t have to) and much more I can’t even go into right now.
Â
2. Reciprocal link recruitment done with a desktop tool to do mass mailings right from your computer. Link Capture is the MOST fit for this. In fact, Link Capture keeps a RECORD of every person you SEND an email out to so that you don’t send it out to that website and business owner again. Do you realize HOW important that is NOT to send an email a second time without stating so? Any type of web software installed on a domain cannot perform the SAME functions that Link Capture can without a bunch of heavy proxies.
Â
What Link Capture does is actually get you information directly from the search engines (10 listed within the application) and it also gets data from Google as far as Page Rank and it also goes to Alexa to get address, phone number, if available and the person’s Alexa ranking (which gives some inkling as to a site’s potential traffic). There is no such thing like that with any type of link manager.
Â
An online link manager is good for ONE thing. Link management and keeping email contact with link partners.
Â
You should also have the ability to customize your emails and send a MASS MAILING out to your link partners. (Mind you, NicheBOT has over 500+ link partners.) When you use Link Capture, you are emailing from your desktop (which uses your ISP provider to send those emails) — so you begin to get LIMITED as to your mass mailing functions and customizing emails and all such things from a desktop standpoint.
Â
I hope that I have explained precisely WHY I use two different tools that seem to have overlap, but really have TWO different purposes. Hands down, there is NO tool that will deliver and scrape the kind of data that Link Capture will get and anything you do with software installed on a server will be somewhat manual unless you have custom software written which would end up costing you thousands. Let me know if you have any further questions I can answer for you.
Â
Best,
Â
