The NicheBOT Index -- or NBi -- was developed to give weight and consideration to the enormous size of the Keyword Discovery database. The KEI analysis formula works great when applied to the WordTracker count they reflect, but the database is only 330 million compared to the 35 billion of Keyword Discovery. So in order to prevent the huge spike in KEI numbers that occurred from the high Keyword Discovery count when applying the regular KEI formula, we have tested and formulated NBi to run somewhat relative to the traditional KEI analysis formula, which is better applied toward WordTracker count figures. You will notice that NicheBOT 2 only applies the regular KEI formula when displaying WordTracker data as that is the exact reason why Sumantra Roy created the KEI - Keyword Effectiveness Index - to begin with. With the introduction of a much larger size of database, the KEI formula cannot stand up to the large 365-day count displayed by Keyword Discovery. The NBi formula will now tolerate that situation better. |
The RATIO is another way of looking at a grading scale of seeking out low competition keywords you can most likely rank for. This number is calculated by the ratio of comparing every one search to all competing websites (competition results). Exactly opposite to KEI, the closer this figure is to 0, the less competition and easier it is to secure a top 10 position. The higher, the harder it is to compete. |
